THE ARK OF NOE, A SHIP OF 300 ELBOWS. FROM EDEN TO THE NATIONS. BY FABIAN MASSA.
In Genesis 6: 14-16, the Lord ordered Noah to build a wooden nave 300 cubits long, fifty cubits wide and thirty cubits high.
The editors of the NTV gave a value of 0.46 meters for the elbow, so that the Ark would be one hundred and thirty-eight meters long, twenty-three feet wide and fourteen meters high.
In the book “DE EDÉN A LAS NACIONES” we study the subject of the Ark in depth. In this short post I just want to point out a very simple fact: Noah knew to count to 300 ... It's a very large number to count on the fingers of both hands, not to lose the account you need a writing system, and a writing implies A complex culture.
Some of the questions we ask ourselves (and we try to answer) in “DE EDÉN A LAS NACIONES”:
- What were the indications of God for the construction of the Ark?
- What processes involved the construction of the Ark?
- Was the Ark a "safe" ship?
- Why were not the remains of the Ark found?
- Is Sinar Sumerian?
- Was Noah the last Sumerian King before the Flood and the first after it?
“DE EDÉN A LAS NACIONES” a brief study of Section Genesis I - XI, by Adrian Pablos & Fabián Massa. March 2017 - Editorial BOOKBABY, USA For now available only in Spanish.
